InterMed has developed a new program for hospitals and medical facilities to store and sell old or no longer needed medical equipment.  The main benefit of this program is the hospital can get a better return on their investment in this equipment.

The way this is accomplished is that InterMed had dedicated warehouse space and sales people to sell this equipment for a much higher value than the hospital selling it directly or liquidating it to wholesale equipment brokers.

Typically, between the costs of de-installation, storage and the low wholesale price offered by brokers, the hospital stands to loose over 50% of the value that may be achieved by using InterMeds direct sales force and Capital Credit Program.

The hospital is offered a guaranteed cash/credit immediately as well as a projected shared credit value, which is usually 40-60% higher than the cash credit offering.

The hospital chooses to accept the immediate cash/credit or the delayed projected credit.

If the cash credit is chosen, then the hospital receives a check or trade in credit useable toward any medical or office supply item requested once the equipment is picked up.

If the hospital chooses delayed credit, the equipment is picked up and stored at InterMed’s new 18000 square foot facility in the Alachua Progress Corporate Park.  InterMed goes to work on selling the equipment worldwide for the highest price.  Once the equipment is sold, the hospital is issues a credit for one half of the sale price, typically twice the original cash credit offering.  This credit, once available, may be used as trade in toward any equipment or supplies in inventory or available through our network of medical and office equipment suppliers.  If desired, the credit may also be used as a payment of any outstanding balances with InterMed or a check may be requested, your choice.
